Purchased new from Exeter City Council (Invoice number 109) on 2nd April 1958 by Cornwall County Fire Brigade and delivered to St. Ives A6 fire station on 1st December 1958. Engine number 22D/4/511 and Chassis number 492-1/2K. It was transferred to Polruan B5A/B15 on 11th October 1960, where it served until being replaced by a long wheel base Austin Gipsy, 52 VRL. It was transferred to Helston A7 on 19th August 1964, and last used in service on 21st July 1980, being sold out of service in August 1980. This appliance was featured in the Austin sales literature for the Gipsy Fire Appliances.
