BCV549C - 1965 Austin Gipsy LWB L4P (Light Four Wheel Drive Pump)

New to Cornwall County Fire Brigade in January 1965 serving at Padstow B8. It carried fleet number 514. This was the last Austin Gipsy used by Cornwall. Transferred to St. Columb A15 by August 1980, then serving as a spare appliance (possible 'Orange Spare L4P') by February 1985. Out of service and moved to Bodmin Flying Club in October 1986. In October 1989 it went to Kenneth Bailey of Darlington who is believed to have restored it to CCFB livery, before selling it to Stuart Davies of Stoke-on-Trent in July 1993. It has been owned since October 1999 by Norman Bamford in Horsham, West Sussex, who is about to embark on a major restoration.

If you can provide any more details on its history for myself and Norman Bamford, please e-mail me here.
